Our name YELLOW WIG TRAVEL GURUS came from us wearing yellow wigs to J’ouvert parties at home in Trinidad and Tobago. For years we wore the wigs as they made us stand out and easy to find when we wanted to go home. Perfect for our travel company!
Why Are We Doing This?
Back in 2018 both of us (Les & Sims) travelled to Grenada with a small group of friends and said to each other that we travel so much all over the world for both work and pleasure that we were sure that we could organize trips for others. We both had negative experiences with other travel agencies and knew that we could do a better job. Unlike others, we did not consider just going to Miami or New York as our dream destinations. We both love travelling and wanted to see more bucket list destinations!
Sims
Sims was born in England, raised in Trinidad and Tobago, attended University, started her career in Canada, and moved back to Trinidad to raise a son. A traveler from birth who has been to 38 countries on 6 continents. Sims is an avid planner who has organized countless solo and group trips over the last 15 years and is constantly planning her next big trip.
Les
Les is a Trinidadian born and raised and like most Trinis, loves two things, carnival and travel. She loves a laid back, relaxing approach to travel, breathing in the experience and learning about the people. She speaks Spanish semi fluently and has made seeing the less frequently visited parts of the world her life goal.
